| Goldeneye 007 is one of the best games for the N64, or at least it was until Rare came out with the sequal/expansion/completely better game using the same engine called perfect dark. As you can tell, goldeneye was based on the movie Goldeneye, starring Peirce Brosnan. It includes several missions that appear to be straight out of the movies, and a lot of the weapons from the movie. In the game you can choose from one of the characters from the movie, or go on missions. Each character has its own size and shape, such as Oddjob. Oddjob being so small is a smaller target to your enemies. Character selection is only availible in multiplayer mode although. Multiplayer mode was quite advanced for it's time allowing up to 4 players in a few different modes in areas from single player, and a few unique areas. It has multiple difficulty levels that you must surpass to earn cheats such as my favorite, paintball mode where instead of bullet holes in the walls, there are paint spatters. |
